MY STORY

I'm Evan! I grew up outside of Buffalo NY. After graduating high school in 2019 I traveled within the U.S. and abroad, working on several small farms. This was when I discovered my passion for farming. In 2021 seeking to learn more about farming I moved to southern Maine and spent the next two growing seasons working as a farm apprentice at Girard Farm in Waterboro Maine. I left Girard Farm particularly interested in food accessibility. This led me to become in involved in Biddeford Community Gardens, and eventually start Community Roots Farm in 2025.

Currently I live in Biddeford Maine. I serve on the steering committee for Biddeford Community Gardens. My favorite vegetable is a turnip.
